Imagine wins Stationers’ Company Innovation Excellence Award

South coast publisher awarded honour for bookazine success

Bookazine pioneer Imagine Publishing has won the coveted Stationers’ Company Innovation Excellence Award for its groundbreaking work on the newsstand through the bookazine format.

Awarded for having the vision to commercially exploit the bookazine concept and in the process drive a print-revival on shelves, the honour is the latest in a series of innovation awards the company has received.

The Stationers’ Innovation Excellence Awards are designed to recognise the key role that innovation plays in generating prosperity and growth through enhanced competitiveness in an increasing tough business world.

The awards were supported by Innovate UK, the new name for the Technology Strategy Board that’s remit is to provide support for innovative businesses with high-growth potential to speed up economic growth.

Now in its 10th year, Imagine has published over 700 bookazines across the knowledge, technology, photography and lifestyle sectors under renowned brands such as for Beginners and How It Works. The company now publishes over 250 a year, distributed to major retailers across the world.

Imagine Publishing is one of the UK’s fastest-growing multimedia content producers.
